Watching Planes is the pseudonym of singer songwriter Kristian Wilkins, who having notched up three UK Songwriting Contest Finals places, has had his songs played on BBC Radio, covered in the press and had videos featured on the UKSC YouTube channel.

During the last year or so, Kris has had several offers on the table including two publishing deals (one after having been talent-spotted by Live & Unsigned 2011) and a funded production deal with proposed album release.

Not being in a position to accept offers because of a lack of gig-ready musicians and studio funds, Kris has since formed a London-based band and is now in rehearsals for upcoming gigs with the ultimate aim of record an album chosen from approaching one hundred songs in his catalogue, including the eponymous 'Watching Planes'.

Influences span indie, alt-folk and classic pop & rock, resulting in an eclectic bag of catchy, melodic tunes with insightful lyrics and arrangements that will draw you in, atop sometimes complex and truly unique chord structures. Like a modern-day White Album there's great variety in style - so the music defies genre and no two songs sound the same. But there's no room for fillers here: every track is engaging in its own right.
